softlog.telephone is compatible with almost any make or model of Pabx, automatically recording the details of every outgoing and (optionally) incoming telephone call.

Softlog supports multiple carrier tables, calculates the cost of each call based upon the relevent carrier and applies a markup to billable calls for on-charging your clients. Softlog also supports multiple sites, accurately calculating the cost & charge based upon the base location of each Pabx.

Comprehensive call details including country, destination, dialled number, call type, duration, route, trunk, Pabx Site Number, user, extension, etc. allow Softlog to provides powerful statistics to help your organisation better manage its telecommunications costs.


Softlog supports account code entry via the handset and the optional softlog.exceptions module can provide your staff with safe, efficient desktop access to their own calls, allowing them to allocate each call to the correct Account, Internal Cost Centre or Job Code.

Flexible Charge Rates
You can mark up the estimated cost of your calls by any percentage. Markups can be applied at several levels and specific clients can have specially negotiated contract markups that allow you to automatically vary the telephone call charge rate from client to client.

Define Your Billable Calls
You can define whether particular types of call are billable or not – for example, you might decide that local calls are not billable while other types of call are billable. You can even decide that only calls of greater than than a minimum duration or greater than a minimum charge value are billable. Softlog allows you to tailor your billable telephone call definitions to suit your firm’s exact needs.

Costing Tables For Multiple Carriers
Multiple carrier costing tables are based upon the tables published by the major service providers. The cost of a call is calculated as accurately as possible keeping in mind that service providers are constantly varying their rates or introducing special rates which means that no supplier can claim to calculate the cost of a call with the same degree of accuracy as the actual carrier. softlog.telephone caters for multiple carriers and by allowing you to choose your preferred carrier Softlog will apply the most appropriate costing tables.
